Warhammer Online: Curse Network team has instituted the latest feature for WarDB: 3D Item Previews. In phase 1 of its implementation, many “held” items (primarily weapons or off-hand items) can now be previewed on the website in 3D.
You can find the 3D Previews in two locations:
- On the search results page under each item that has one available, you will see a “3D Preview” link. Clicking on this link will pop up a window in the middle of your browser. A couple seconds later you will see the item model rendered in 3D.
- On the item details page will be a “3D Preview” button within the “Summary” box to the right of the page. Clicking this button will pop up a window in the middle of your browser. A couple seconds later you will see the item model rendered in 3D.
As Curse Team announced, it was just phase 1 for their Warhammer Online work, they also plan to expand the preview window beyond just “held” items.
